D9P Disappearing Nine Patch!

I was a bit apprehensive about these blocks for Bee Blessed (a charity bee run by the really lovely Judith at ragstobags).   No real reason why, but it put me off getting started with them till now.

Three done and three to go!  I find that I quite like this Disappearing 9 patch block!  It has a great graphic effect when they are all together.  And you can see the lovely effect better on the Bee Blessed Flickr group.

Here is the growing pile of blocks to be sent off!

Before I do I must also make a start on December's block - a block of my choosing for a sampler quilt!

Then I can post them all off to the very patient Judith and her valliant team who do the real work of matching blocks from different people and making them into quilts!  Well done girls and keep up the good work!

Next week I think I will show you some of the things I have made in the past for Christmas - it is where my patchwork, applique and quilting story started...

  1. I'd like to try the d9p. I might have a go for the girlie pips quilt I want to do.

  2. So many blocks! They look great! I'll be doing some more Bee Blessed blocks AFTER the holidays. It's a wonderful project.

  3. Great blocks - what are you going to make for the free choice block?

  4. I do like the D9P blocks. I love how the white sets it all off.

  5. great blocks Nicky! You always accomplish so much....I need your energy!

  6. Oh Nicky these look fab! You've worked hard, thanks so much! Can't wait to see them in the flesh! Jxo

  7. all your blocks look great. I like the colours in the 9 patch blocks.

Hello, I'd really like to hear from you...
