Daisy love!

Did I tell you that I love daisies.....

These arrived today!  Aren't they lovely?  Had to get them after seeing them chez Judith and she got them from BlijeOlifantje.....in case I'm not the only one with daisy love.

I have made my block for the April Sew & Bee Happy for Leona aka oneygirl!

This is the card trick block and I raided my small stash of bright red and aqua to make this!   Hoping she likes it!

I am weak willed!

In between all my handstitching I have been active on the internet pressing the buy now button and maybe I should share some of my beautiful booty with you.

I am weak willed - show me something pretty and it seems I cannot resist!

This arrived from Japan and the lovely Ayumi @ Pink Penguin!

sorry about the blurry photo - but Disney stamps!

The smaller pieces on the left were not on the order but thrown in by Ayumi to keep the others company!  Isn't she lovely!

This arrived from Katy @ Monkey Do!

told you I have a Carnival quilt somewhere in my future

This followed from Sew Kind of Wonderful

shortly after I saw this cushion Alison made @ Little Island Quilting - she has been showing off ever since what this ruler can do here and here! ( hehe!)

This was too tempting to resist from Martha....

 - first Lori was making a tiny Drunkard's Path then I saw Kathie's quilt and found a link to Martha's Etsy Shop from there on resistance was pointless!

I watched Martha make loads of unique aprons for her daughter's wedding shower guests from beautiful vintage fabrics and she is still making them to sell in her Etsy shop plus she is making the most beautiful kits from her original vintage stash and cutting out all the tiny pieces...

I had to put in my bobbin to show you the tiny scale of these pieces...all I need do is sew them up!

These were on sale at Seamstar - think I am getting a daisy thing!

This from Karen at BlueberryPark

Told you I am in love with daisies!

This book from Amazon

You have been telling me it is good and this time I was listening with my finger on the buy now button!

And this Oakshott cotton - I blame Lynne!

I have been buying these over the last month and a half ....honest!  I just have been keeping it all to myself...thought I'd better come clean!

Just zipit!

Look what arrived yesterday in the post...

Been waiting a little while for these.  I am ecstatic!  Look at those lovely colours!  My local fabric shop is ok and pricey by comparison for the odd zip in dull and dingy colours but these make zips look cool and flamboyant!  Who wants a hidden zip when you have these ..

Especially when accompanied by this!  The fortune telling fish - used to get these in my Christmas cracker!

Apparently I am in love .....yeah with those zips!  And then when it turned over  it meant I was false - not so sure about that one but hey who believes a fortune telling fish anyway!  Nice bit of nostalgia though and quite glad to see they are still around.

So I have jumped on this bandwagon gladly in pursuit of great zips at great prices and fully intend to make a little flurry of pouches.  Just need to find a great contrasting fabric or two!  I may even have some in my stash though some beautiful scraps and linen are absolutely begging to be used for pouchy perfection!

If you want to join in - I bought these 25 bright 8" zips from Etsy shop Zipit for  $15.25 including shipping (£9.83) !
