Scraptastic Tuesday September is already here!

Well I have my scrappy hat back on and have been making other people's orphan projects into quilt tops for the charity #siblingstogether.

I received two projects from the lovely Gayle Brindley in the U.S.  Both of them are now quilt tops waiting to be quilted.

This one didn't need much to go from this ...

To this....

This one needed a bit more to go from these blocks and pieces..

To this finished top randomly thrown together.  I love how the HSTs interplay with those Drunkard's Path blocks

At the beginning of summer I also got a great large star block from my stingy bee mate Catherine.

I've now added borders to make it big enough for a quilt. That was fun and didn't take as long as I thought it would.

And yesterday and  the day before  I spent making log cabin type blocks out of strips to add to those already made by Sally.

I have pieced them into another top but my cat is insisting that I do something else - at least that's what I think she is saying!

So that will be another four quilts for #siblingstogether - just need to find some wadding and backing fabric.  And some time of course!

Well that's what I've been doing...

Im sure it is still the second Tuesday of the month somewhere,  and time for the Scraptastic Tuesday link up hosted by Leanne at She Can Quilt and me. We are a bit late out of the gate today as the second Tuesday of September snuck up on us a bit, this being just September 8, getting kids back to school and all.

Do link up and share your scrappy projects to inspire us all.

A huge thank you to our generous sponsors for providing the following prizes:
Please join Leanne at She Can Quilt and I by linking up a blog post or flickr or instagram photo sharing a scrappy project, in progress or finished, or your thoughts on dealing with your scrap mountain:
  • You don't have to have joined us before, everyone is welcome.
  • One link per person, and it will be your entry into the random draw for the prizes. It is the same link up here and at Leanne's blog so you only need to link up on one of our blogs.
  • Please visit at least a few of the links, they are very inspiring, and leave comments too as everyone loves to connect.
  • Please use the Scraptastic Tuesday button (code is on the sidebar) and invite your friends to join us too.
  • The link is open until next Monday night at 10:00 pm MST. We will announce the winners next Tuesday.

  • If you have trouble linking up, let me or Leanne know and we will get you sorted.
