I glue on the shapes so they cant move when I sew them. I use a blind hem stitch( I think that's what it's called) with a small width and length. About 1 wide and 1.5 long, from memory, on my machine. Gives the appliqué more of a needle turned look. Or that's what I tell myself anyway...Hitch and Threadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01621667613702567031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7833074465049859362.post-88432851007080621022016-04-24T15:58:57.547+01:002016-04-24T15:58:57.547+01:00Ooh, must show what i did with my dp sizzix scraps...Ooh, must show what i did with my dp sizzix scraps 😊Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11401124377008075764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7833074465049859362.post-16611078938145764762016-04-24T15:35:38.111+01:002016-04-24T15:35:38.111+01:00A great use of scrappy bits. It would stop you having to pick them up from the floor each time you move it...Archie The Wonder Doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16348256617269963755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7833074465049859362.post-54922653805882360382016-04-23T08:22:21.615+01:002016-04-23T08:22:21.615+01:00Great idea to use those leftover scraps. Have to remember that on, have not done a clamshell quilt yet, but can see how much the leftover fabrics can hurt a quilters heart.
Greetings,
SylviaFlickenstichlerinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09234604824763882898noreply@blogger.com
